My first whistlepig with the new .17HMR... sure beats the hell outta the .22. Whereas a direct hit with the .22 allowed them to run back under the shed before they expired (thus causin' a week-long stink), this hog hit the dirt like she'd been whacked with a bag of nickels.
Lookin' forward to many, many more hogs with this beaut...
I'm somewhat of a traditionalist when it comes to rifles, but I have to admit that's a nice looking stock.
ReplyDeleteI also think most rifles should have a purty chunk of wood wrapped around 'em, but I'm a sucker for thumbhole stocks. I love the look, and they feel great in my hand.
