150 years ago today, Southern Confederate forces fired on Fort Sumpter, ingnitin' a five year shitstorm.
There was a lot of ugly about it. Truth be told, were I there in those days, I haven't to foggiest idea who I'd take up arms for. A lot of good and bad on both sides, and a very unclear picture of what was bein' fought over.
But it's no use startin' a big debate. None of us were around for it, so it's kinda a moot point.
