Day 2 - Memories of Iowa

Indiana rest stop

Uncle Bill drivin' us over the Mississippi

A great '07 hunt with good friends and my family

So I got my itinerary confused a bit. Nebraska's on the way back. We're crashed for the night in good ol' Newton, Iowa.

We had a great day of travel. The weather was fantastic, in the 80's without a cloud in the sky. T'was a welcome change from the duckfest that has been the last six weeks in PA. Got to see the mighty Mississippi River again, it's been a few years so that was cool.

Passin' all these big ol' cornfields and soybean fields is bringin' back some awesome memories of a great pheasant huntin' trip with my family and good friends a few years back. We had a great time... Bagged a buncha birds and found a hammer buck layin' dead. Picked up some great stories and memories on that trip.

Big day tomorrow, including stops at Austad's Golf Shop, Cabela's and a big dinner at Al's Oasis Steakhouse. I'll have the camera up front with me tomorrow, so I'll be posting more pictures from here on out.
